The ideas I develop in my works have a broad thematic range. They are linked to life situations and existential issues. In my projects I question people’s attitude towards different aspects of life, such as the struggle to achieve happiness, the attitude towards everyday life, the expectations on sexual behaviour, or the perception and reconsideration of social values in general. Being an artist I also question the attitude towards art itself and its value in social contexts.
With my works I try to present an imagery that brings a turn or at least shakes the thoughts of the viewers regarding the above mentioned subjects. To generate such an effect I often take seemingly insignificant elements or situations from everyday life and transform them to give them a new, stronger value. Many times I use humorous, ironic or even sarcastic elements.
My work consists mainly of video and painting, but I tend to expand my practice and use other media to increase my possibilities of expression as well. I believe that media should always profit the concept instead of creating restrictions when it comes to mediating an idea.
