4-year-old dies after falling from upper floor at Columbia hotel, coroner says

A child has died after falling from an “upper-level floor” of a Columbia hotel early Saturday morning, officials confirmed Sunday.It happened just before 2 a.m. at the Embassy Suites off Greystone Boulevard, which is off Interstate 26 near the Riverbanks Zoo. Maiya Caughman, 4, fell over a railing inside the hotel, the Richland County Coroner’s Office confirmed.
